David Bell is a sophomore at the College of Arts and Science double majoring in political science and history with a minor in peace and conflict studies. He enjoys cloud watching and his interests include counter-proliferation, asymmetric conflict analysis, and the application of systems theory in military science.
Kevin Rubio is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Politics. He was born in Hoboken, New Jersey. Along with his interests in politics, he is an avid paddle boarder and kayaker spending his summers leading trips up and down the Hudson River.
Claire Fishman is a junior studying English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing. Before joining the National Security Initiative at NYU, she served as the Arts Editor for Washington Square News. She has experience working in Real Estate, Law, and Technology and intends to pursue law after graduation. As Editor and Chief, she intends to help give students a voice on the policy decisions that will shape their lives.
Ashley is a Junior from Los Angeles, California, studying Marketing, Data, and Persuasion in the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Her professional experience includes past internships in human resources, digital marketing, and analytics, and she hopes her experience will benefit the National Security Institute team. When she isn’t reading the news or typing out emails, her hobbies include cooking, photography, and travel.
Danny Hegberg is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in International Relations. At NYU, Danny is a member of the College Democrats and Generation Citizen. Areas of interest include journalism, international relations, public policy, human rights, Arabic, and immigration.
Chris-Ann Barnett is a sophomore double majoring in Politics and Sociology and aspire to be a lawyer. She moved to New York in 2010 and she's lived in Brooklyn since. I enjoy going on adventures, discovering new things, and binge watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Yoni Lean is a sophomore at NYU majoring in global public health and biology. He is from Irvine, California and hopes to eventually become a cardiovascular surgeon. Additionally, Yoni is a volunteer emergency medical technician and enjoys mentoring students who wish to enter the field of medicine.

Anna Park is from Boston, Massachusetts. She is currently a sophomore at NYU pursuing a double major in Psychology and English with a minor in Public Health Management & Policy. Lisa is a sophomore double-majoring in Journalism and the politics concentration within GLS. She is currently the news editor of the Washington Square News, but outside of that scope has a borderline obsessive preoccupation with cinema, coffee, and literature about being sad.
Sam is a sophomore at Stern studying business, concentrating in economics and finance. His general research interests include behavioral economics, psychology, and sustainable business.
Jarrett is a current sophomore at New York University majoring in Global Liberal Studies with a focus in Politics, Rights, and Development. He joins the Institute with over two years of public service experience with the US Department of Defense and the US Department of State, where he focused his work on East Asian investment into developing African markets. He hails from the great state of Virginia where he enjoys hiking and climbing in the Shenandoah mountains.
Ann Fulton is a second year student at New York University. She is a Global Liberal Studies major, pursuing a concentration in Global Rights, Politics, and Development, as well as business studies and Spanish minors. She's fascinated by the intersection of the political and economic institutions that govern the world we live in and as well as our capacity to create change in pursuit of a more just and peaceful existence.
Jolie Radunich is a sophomore from San Francisco, California. She is studying Global Liberal Studies with a concentration in Politics, Rights and Development. Jolie is currently interning at the Cato Institute in Washington D.C. as an education policy researcher. In her free time, she can be found reading political science biographies, creative writing or dancing.
